The climate chamber
As its name suggests, climates are simulated in the climate chamber.
Apart from temperature (in the minus and plus range), humidity and light, if applicable, are further parameters. These are applied frequently in material testing, in food chemistry, biology, agricultural sciences, but also in the building materials industry and in the packaging and paper industry. Many standards and guidelines stipulate the test in a standard climate, which in DIN 50014 is defined at 23 °C and 50% humidity.
